Huawei continues to dominate the 6G global patent technology field, and in the latest scenario, the company owns around 15% of the global share, ranking first in both China and the worldwide 6G patent department.
MIIT’s Information and Communications Development Director – Xie Cun attended a press conference today. During the interrogation, he revealed that China is just doing great in the 6G patent technology segment.
At the same time, he mentioned that Huawei ranked first worldwide in the 5G patent department with a 15% of the share. ZTE, Xiaomi, and other firms follow the champion among the top ten rankers.
Xie mentioned that China accounts for 42% share of the global 5G patent standard declarations. This share consists of 210,000 5G standard patents globally.
It further contains 47000 patent families, out of which Huawei holds for a significant amount. China itself owns over 40% of these, ranking first in the global patent market.
South Korea comes on the second place, while the United States appeared in third position. Speaking of these achievements, the Director at MIIT announced:
“… my country has completed the first phase of 6G technology trials, forming a reserve of over 300 key technologies, and has officially launched the second phase of 6G technology trials.”
Coming to the enterprise level, Huawei continues to rule in the 6G global patent technology segment with 15.7% share. The OEM is constantly exploring new 6G inventions for smartphones, smart cars, data centers, and some innovative network solutions.
The company has also integrated a better version of 5G – 5A Speed in its regular flagship phones. No doubt, it may soon introduce some more interesting 6G patents to enhance the user experience in the time ahead.
