After the Mate 80 Pro, Huawei has teased the FreeBuds Pro 5 ahead of its global launch set for February 26. As we are approaching the first Huawei innovative launch event of 2026, the company is unveiling new creations coming to the stage.
“Curves that cradle. Sound that moves. #HuaweiLaunch.”
That’s what Huawei wrote on the caption of the newly teased FreeBuds Pro 5 for its global launch. The device will debut in the overseas market alongside the flagship Mate 80 Pro smartphone and the all-new Watch GT RUNNER.
FreeBuds Pro 5 first launched in China on 25 November. It introduced the NearLink Audio technology, promising a new sound experience with calls and music.
While the FreeBuds Pro 5 retains the signature design, the company has revamped its ear handles with a thick golden rim. It further shows the HUAWEI SOUND logo, confirming an immersive audio experience for users.
In the video teaser, Huawei confirmed certain features of the new audio wearable. For instance, it will support Huawei SOUND to deliver great audio in every touch.
Besides, the earbuds will equip a dual-engine AI Noise Cancellation for ultra-impressive sound. The device uses two acoustic units and digital signal processors, paired with AI technology to generate more powerful noise reduction.
As a result, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 allows for deeper cancellation of ambient sounds. It actively emits anti-noise waves from both bass and treble drivers together, enhancing the overall noise tracking as well as voice isolation.
Whether Huawei makes any internal changes to the global FreeBuds Pro 5 variant is worth looking forward to!
