Huawei is pushing a new HarmonyOS 6 software update for HarmonyOS PC devices, which brings new AI features, performance improvements, and optimizations.
The one thing about the HarmonyOS PCs is that these laptops no longer require you to run the Windows operating system, and the entire ecosystem is driven by HarmonyOS native apps pre-installed.
Since it’s a HarmonyOS PC, the company can upgrade it like a smartphone. In that case, the latest HarmonyOS 6.0.0.328 software has landed on this device range to provide some interesting upgrades, such as the new Claw AI agent.
Once installed, users can summon the new AI agent any time and on top of any app to ask questions or do tasks such as summarization, format conversion, or translation. AI is now powering the audio podcasts for MateBook HarmonyOS PCs. With this, users can read the real-time audio podcast transcript generated by AI.
Another important feature is detailed information collection from the web. Huawei has brought a new AI chat feature inside the assistant, which now sources content from the web with source citations. Users can explore these links to verify the content.
AI will help users to generate background music for audio clips. This feature is designed for artists who want to test their vocals and tunes without jumping on a real instrument. This background music can be customized with an on-screen prompt box.
Besides AI features, the HarmonyOS 6 update improved the system stability of the Huawei PC models. The update is released via OTA for all of the eligible devices and will expand gradually.
