Huawei officially launched the brand-new mobile phone router – Wi-Fi X today. The company announced it last year in December, revealing a few special traits of this product. Now the OEM has brought it to the stage alongside full specs and price.
During the HarmonyOS Smart Home Technology Communication Event, Huawei unveiled the Wi-Fi X smartphone router, calling it the super live streaming product.
Wi-Fi X got this unique name due to its foldable X-like design. But apart from its appearance, the product has several impressive features and network capabilities.
Interestingly, this unique design is capable of improving the overall signal strength by 13%. Thus, it solves several bottlenecks in the network signal segment.
One also gets a display panel to showcase battery level, signal strength, device connection status, carrier, and number of connected devices in real time with any phone app. The device packs a 12000mAh battery with an impressive battery life.

Wi-Fi X supports 24 hours of continuous internet browsing on a single device. As per the details, the smoothness of live streaming in far and weak field conditions is as follows:
- 100% higher than that of flagship phones
- Smoothness of live streaming in congested networks is 50% higher
- High-speed network for 4K high-definition live streaming
- High-speed transmission of large files.
The company revealed that Wi-Fi X has the world’s first quad-transmitter and a quad-receiver device that equips three-carrier aggregation. All these parts help the router to achieve a peak downloading speed of 5.3Gbps and an uploading rate of 1000Mbps.

Besides, the router has 16 built-in cellular antennas and uses Huawei’s industry-leading portable Wi-Fi antenna system with 360° omnidirectional signal transmission and reception.
It uses a large-area double-layer graphene + high thermal conductivity to effectively insulate heat dissipation. The device further prevents speed reduction and equipment lag caused by high temperature.
In addition, Huawei Wi-Fi X offers a VIP-exclusive network with 5 layers of protection – thanks to China Mobile. Both parties jointly developed a strong network architecture that helps in SUL tech dual-link parallel operation, smart cell selection, high-priority data transmission, and a dedicated live streaming speed.

- 200GB version for 199 yuan
- 350GB version for 299 yuan
- 500GB version for 399 yuan
