A Weibo tipster shared his analysis on the Chinese smartphone market for December 2025, where the Huawei Mate 80 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are wrestling to lead the premium phone segment. Both models are in the top 3 ranking list.
RDObservation has revealed a big chart, showing the rank of all flagships such as Huawei Mate 80 and the top-end Apple models in the December 2025 Chinese premium phone market.
While the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the standard version were ruling the top two positions of the listing, the Huawei Mate 80 vanilla version appeared at the third spot.
Despite fierce competition with the foreign rival, Huawei has continued to show up in the top three flagship smartphone sales rankings for the December 2025 analysis.
The particular listing highlights two facts! Firstly, the company has made significant upgrades over the years in the smartphone chipsets. As a result, these efforts with prominent market strategies have attracted consumers.
Secondly, Huawei’s consumer base continued to be loyal towards the firm as well as its products. Even though the 2025 iPhone models are quite amazing, many consumers switched from Apple handsets to Huawei for its impressive software features.
