Huawei is seemingly getting ready to unveil a new creation named Mate 80 GTS in the market and while the date hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, a new leak suggests the perfect release timeline for the first half of next year (H1 2026).
FixedFocus noted that Huawei is planning to unveil two crazy products in the first half of 2026. One is the second-gen Pura foldable phone that will debut with some dynamic features. It can be the widest clamshell device to date!
And amid the rumors of Pura X2 and a Premium Edition foldable, a newbie is also peeking from the doors – the Huawei Mate 80 GTS, which may show up in H1 2026.
The company trademarked this device before the Mate 80 series launch. But that seemed quite a normal move as the company did so three years back as well.

Early inputs suggest the Chinese phone maker had plans to launch Mate 60 GTS, 70GTS, 80GTS, and even 100GTS. Mate 60 GTS was in the news for bringing a special red color variant, adding more options to the top-end flagships.
However, we haven’t witnessed any such variant alongside the Mate 60 or Mate 70 phones in the past few years. Hence, Mate 80 GTS didn’t make much buzz when it was registered on the company’s trademark list.
Now it looks like Huawei is serious about this new smartphone and could introduce it in the first half of next year. What exactly this device will bring to the board is still unclear. Though it may fulfill a long-awaited upgrade – Cooling Fan.
Yes, the device could bring a cooling technology that was expected to appear with the Mate 80 phones. But nothing as such happened. Perhaps the company had different plans regarding this tech. Let’s see if the latest rumor actually turns into reality or not!
