Huawei Mate 80 series and the X7 foldable support a special “recording” feature, but interestingly, it doesn’t belong to the audio or call segment. Instead, it is an automatic parking slot recording capability that unlocks a new level of driving experience.
Richard Yu, the senior official and Consumer Business Chairman at Huawei Technologies, revealed a new “recording” feature for the Mate 80 and Mate X7 phones.
This feature is called “automatic parking location recording.” Users with the above-mentioned handsets can access the new addition. The phones will automatically record the parking slot or the specific location chosen to park the vehicle.
According to the details, the Mate 80 and Mate X7 foldable control the indoor navigation to the original elevator (used in the garage). Thus, you can manage switching or locating the parking slot or navigating to the specific space from anywhere.
In simple words, users will be able to check their vehicle’s parking or the particular position even after leaving it, right through their flagship Mate smartphones.
Since the smartphones automatically record the position of the smart car at the parking slot, it becomes easy to keep an eye on it even after leaving the site.

How to access this feature?
Mate smartphone users can open the particular car brand app and tap on the “My Profile” section. Select the Dynamic Management option at the top right corner of the application. Here you will see the Authorize Location Permissions.
Click on the respective section and choose the Service Dynamics, and then Parking. From here, you can manage the vehicle’s position. Richard Yu says the new feature is not limited to any car brand and auto-activates as the driver exits the car.
The new feature currently covers more than 20,000 parking slots in China and will continue to increase this figure in the time ahead. Apart from the Mate phones, Pura 80 handsets, Mate XTs, Mate 70 Pro+, and RS Ultimate also support this feature.
