Huawei Mate 80 series comes with the 5A Speed network with superfast file transfer and uploading capabilities, so the phones perform better than their predecessors in a speed test! And the latest experiment has really shown interesting results.
Some Weibo tipsters have conducted a network speed test for the Huawei Mate 80 series. The results were excellent as they performed well over the previous-gen models.
Earlier, a tipster showed that the Mate 80 RS smartphone is the first in the Huawei family to display the “5A” (5G-Advanced) symbol beside the network signal bar.
Now another tipster tried using this new network technology and found that the device’s upload speed has surpassed 1 Gbps. This mark is equal to the downloading rate of a GB home broadband (a high-speed home internet connection).

For reference, Gigabit (GB) home broadband is one of the fastest types of residential internet available. It offers significantly faster network speed over standard or superfast broadband connections and uses full-fibre optic technology (FTTP).
Speaking of the results, users would be able to upload images, large files, as well as big and high-quality videos, much faster than ever. It delivers 10 times better network speed than the ordinary 5G with reduced latency and a more stable connection.
That further says the Mate 80 series can easily deal with high-load files and scenarios like uploading 4K live streaming video. The overall experience related to uploading and downloading is optimized to a greater extent with the new Mate phones.
Huawei has really worked with the core segments of the 2025 Mate flagship. The company has not only seeded a powerful chipset, but also strengthened the potential of these models with 20GB RAM and the best network technology.
