Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition is now official, ending all rumors on its specs and key features. The device debuted on stage, showcasing its ultimate technologies and power-packed capabilities. It’s time to look at these parameters in detail.
While there isn’t any significant difference in terms of look, the Huawei Mate 80 Wind Edition is better than the Pro Max variant when it comes to performance.
Reason – the ultimate Turbo Fan is integrated behind the camera bump of the new smartphone. Other specs of the Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition are as follows:
Mate 80 Pro Max Fan smartphone comes in two shades: Polar Gold and Night Black. It measures 164.4 x 79 x 8.25mm and weighs 239 grams with the battery. The device has the same 6.9-inch screen as its other siblings with FHD+ resolution, dual-layer OLED, 120Hz refresh rate, and P3 color gamut + 1.07 billion colors.
Before going on to other internal parameters, let’s talk about the brand-new Windmill Cooling Architecture. The company has imposed three innovative heat dissipation technologies on the Mate 80 Pro Max WIND EDITION. These are:
- Biomimetic Wing-shaped turbofan: It has an alternate blade length design that increases the wind pressure and airflow to easily remove heat.
- Thermal Bending Fins: Strong + Weak airflow partitioning design significantly removes heat dissipation efficiently, resulting in faster and more uniform cooling.
- Hidden Airflow Vent design: This net-like structure under the lens module ensures a comfortable grip without burning your hands.
This ultimate tech-layer delivers a consistently smooth, clear, and stable experience, allowing users to fully immerse themselves in every gameplay. Huawei has also upgraded ray tracing hardware acceleration + high frame rate stabilization.
HyperSpace Memory: The new addition improves memory compression efficiency by 45% and expands available memory space. Thus, you will observe powerful background app persistence, which is increased by 67%.
Other features of the device are the same as those of the first-ever PRO MAX model. It also uses the flagship Kirin 9030 Pro, coupled with the pre-installed HarmonyOS 6.0 operating system, 16GB RAM, and 512GB/1TB storage options.
Camera Parameters:
Another difference is the camera setup. The company has skipped one lens and used only three sensors: a 50MP ultra-high dynamic range, a 40MP ultrawide-shooter, and a 50MP ultra-focusing macro telephoto camera with 4x zooming traits. The front face has a 13MP selfie snapper with a 3D depth sensing lens.
The device has a 6000mAh battery pack with a 100W SuperCharge wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 18W wired + wireless reverse charging. Moreover, the flagship has an IP68 + IP69 rating.
Price and Availability:
Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition has two RAM + storage options: 16GB+512GB is priced at 8499 yuan, and 16GB+1TB version costs 9499 yuan. It will officially go on sale at 10:08 on March 27.
