Huawei Mate 80 series is making huge waves in the market as it is seeing a sharp jump of 23% sales over its predecessor. All four models continue to garner traction with their top-notch features, fruitful upgrades, and refreshed design.
In the past few days, we have come across several reports about the booming sales of the Huawei Mate 80 series. And the latest one adds more glory to it!
A chip consultant on Weibo said Huawei Mate 80 series sales are seeing a hike of 23% over Mate 70 phones in just three weeks since its official release in the market.
Compared to the same period last year, the Mate 70 series didn’t witness this level of craze. While the company revealed consumers are showing great interest in the top-end lineup, it was unable to defeat the Mate 60 in the sales segment.
But the case is quite different with the Mate 80 smartphones. The newly released handsets not only surpassed their predecessors with a massive margin but also challenged the shipment figures of other rival brands like Apple and Xiaomi.

Mate 80 Pro Max and the vanilla version have crossed the sales mark of the iPhone 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max within a week of their official unveiling.
Moreover, the company has played a brilliant move with the Mate 80 pricing. Standard Mate 80 is available starting at 4699 yuan, which is at least 800 yuan cheaper than the Mate 70 phone. Huawei says – “more for the same cost!”
As a result, Huawei regained its top position in the Chinese market and pushed Apple to the second place for two weeks straight. The company maintained a market share of 27% and 22% in the 48th and 49th weeks of this year.
Following the news, netizens said that it would be quite easy for the Mate 80 models to achieve a shipment of 12-16 million units in 11 months. Let’s see how far these speculations fall right on this matter.
