Huawei Mate 80 series is a real hit in the market, as the flagship has now shipped over 1.2 million units in sales within a month! That shows the lineup is a true smartphone craze among consumers despite odd factors like a tight supply chain.
Since the company has fallen into the US ban, it struggled to regain its top position in the Chinese smartphone market. Lack of 5G chips, GMS, and several other cutting-edge hardware dropped it to the bottom of the rankers’ list.
But 2023 appeared as a turning point with the debut of the Mate 60 Pro and its 5G Kirin. While the Mate 70 series didn’t make a huge hype in the market, it looks like the recently released flagship lineup is bringing back the Mate’s fame.
Weibo tipster @RBObeservation revealed that as of the 51st week of 2025, the Huawei Mate 80 series has recorded more than 1.2 million units of sales in China.
It’s approximately 1.2349 million units in just 23 days. Surprisingly, the Mate 80 series has scored more than a million shipments in less than a month.
Moreover, the current shipment figure hints that the average daily sales volume of the Huawei Mate 80 series smartphones would have been 50,000 units.
Going into the sales ratio, the Standard Mate 80 has accounted for the highest units in sales. Meanwhile, the Mate 80 Pro Max, the Pro, and the RS Ultimate Design followed. Perhaps, the price factor is the reason for this sequence.
Certain industry experts hinted that the Mate 80 vanilla version is facing difficulties in the entry-level variant sales segment and is seeing the lowest sales. Though it seems to be a wrong analysis, as the device has even outperformed its rivals and predecessors in this race.
With this sales speed, the Mate 80 lineup is expected to reach 12-16 million unit shipments sooner than the previous-generation models.
