On March 23, Huawei introduced a new Phantom Purple color for the MatePad Mini and MatePad Pro 12.2 tablets. The new shade is appealing and gives a luxurious vibe. At the same time, consumers are getting more options to choose their favorite large-screen devices from!
Huawei MatePad Mini and the MatePad Pro 12.2 Phantom Purple color options are available on pre-order shelves at the moment. Meanwhile, the company will release them officially in the market by the end of this week, March 28, 2026.
Speaking of the new models, the company has launched a Purple variant for the compact MatePad Mini Reading Edition and the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 tablets.

The MatePad Mini Reading Edition is getting a Purple color for two storage versions: 12GB + 256GB for 3299 yuan, and the regular PaperMatte model with 12GB + 256GB costs 3799 yuan.
On the other hand, the MatePad Pro 12.2 12GB + 512GB Purple variant costs 4499 yuan. Its normal PaperMatte version with 12GB + 512GB wears a price tag of 5099 yuan.

Apart from the beautiful color variants, other specifications and features of both tablets are the same as the regular versions. The Mini tablet has a small 8.8-inch flexible OLED panel with 1800 nits peak brightness. It is a perfect mini tablet.
