Huawei Nova 15 Pro and Ultra models have not only received a massive shift in terms of design but also camera technologies. Both smartphones will carry dynamic imaging capabilities and some additional sensors to elevate the photography part.
The CEO of Huawei Consumer Business – He Gang recently posted a clip on Weibo, suggesting double surprises for the Nova 15 series. Although he kept these surprises a secret to date. Perhaps he will unveil them at the official launch event.
But ahead of that, new information has surfaced on the internet, revealing what these surprises could be. Interestingly, this leak confirms double “multispectral camera sensors” for the Huawei Nova 15 Pro and Ultra.
Weibo tipster FixedFocus recently talked about an exclusive official letter that confirms double multispectral imaging sensors for the top-end Nova 15 phones.
The tipster said:
“The first combination of the Nova 15 series with double red maples at the front and rear is confirmed. Model estimates include Pro, Ultra.”

Simply put, the Nova 15 Pro and Ultra will feature one multispectral lens for the back camera module and one for the selfie lens system on the front face.
Multispectral camera in Huawei phones acts as a major source of light in multiple, narrow wavelength bands beyond just red, green, and blue filter arrays. As a result, it achieves superior color accuracy, detail, and lifelike rendering even in unfavorable conditions.
Huawei has upgraded the multispectral imaging technology with the Mate 80 series. And it will probably use the same generation sensors for the high-end Nova 15 variants. Perhaps, we will get a clear view of this implementation on December 22.
Apart from the camera design, the display and battery details are still a mystery. Inputs suggest that Huawei will use the Kirin 8 series chip for the standard model and Kirin 9 series for the Pro and Ultra, offering Mate phone-like performance boost.
