Following the Mate flagship and entry-level Enjoy lineup, the upcoming Huawei Nova 16 series family is seemingly making space for a brand-new Pro Max member. It turns out that Huawei is taking the “Pro Max” smartphone concept very seriously.
Weibo tipster SuperDimensional has shared a big list of Huawei Nova 16 specifications, revealing three variants in the series: Standard, Pro, and Pro Max.
Huawei introduced the first PRO MAX model with the Mate 80 series in November 2025. It was not just a “name change” move but actually a big step to enhance the company’s revenue. And looking at the current sales, it seems the step was fruitful.
Seeing the strong demand for the Mate 80 Pro Max in the market, the tech giant has now announced a similar model for the Enjoy 90 series with the same look.
Now, a new leak suggests Huawei could bring the Pro Max model to the new-generation Nova 16 series, probably ditching the long-running iconic Ultra handset.

Expected Specifications
Apart from the variants, the leak reveals prime specifications of the Nova 16 models. The device will likely feature a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED screen with 1.5K resolution. However, it’s unclear if the company will use the same size for all variants.
Huawei Nova 16 series is expected to use a Kirin 9 series processor. But the company might introduce a mid-range Kirin 8 series chip for the vanilla version. Meanwhile, the other high-end members could go for a flagship chipset.
The Nova 16 series might adopt a 7000mAh+ battery with around 100W wireless charging. If true, Nova 16 would be the first lineup to support a 100W wireless charging capability. Although the details currently remain uncertain at present.
Coming to the camera, Huawei Nova 16 phones may sport a fresh 50MP 1/1.3-inch large main camera with 50MP periscope, and multispectral sensors for both front and rear lens setups. How many of these specs turn out to be true will be known later.
