Huawei outperforms Apple in tablet sales with a small margin

Omida has recently released a new report showing the performance of Apple, Huawei, and other brands in the Chinese tablet sales market for Q4 2025. While many tech vendors performed efficiently, the MatePad maker captured the first spot!

The report shows that Huawei has shipped around 2.4 million tablets in the fourth quarter of 2025. It owns 26% of the total market share and has maintained its position at the top with an annual growth rate of 13% – thanks to its new launches.

Apart from smartphones, Huawei has significantly worked on MatePad products last year. The company not only unveiled new iterations of some existing tablets but also brought incredible creations like MatePad Mini and MatePad Edge 2-in-1.

Both new Huawei tablets gained a lot of attention in their market for their iconic form factor and interesting features, challenging Apple in the tablet sales market.

iPad maker ranked second with 2.3 million shipments and 25% of the market share. The good news is that Apple is also seeing a positive growth in the sales race.

The fourth position goes to Xiaomi with 0.9 million units and a market share of 10%. Although the company is seeing a 15% decline this time. Honor is in the fifth spot with a downfall of 13%.

Whether Huawei will continue to lead the Chinese tablet market in 2026 or the position shifts to other brands would be worth looking at. Stay tuned.
