Huawei Pura 90 series will launch with top-of-the-line camera specs. The details have leaked several times on the Chinese social media platform. But a fresh leak brings back the flagship’s imaging parameters to the news headlines with bolder shifts.
SmartPikachu has once again revealed the Huawei Pura 90 series camera specs. It has mentioned three ultimate imaging sensors for the upcoming flagship lineup.
The first one is a 200MP main camera. Huawei was reportedly testing a 200MP sensor for 2026 models, and one of them will likely show up with the Pura 90.
Early leaks mentioned that Huawei has two types of 200MP lenses in the testing phase: main and periscope. The Pura 90 Ultra is even said to be the first smartphone in the industry, featuring dual 200MP camera setup for an iconic experience.
But the accuracy of these details is still doubtful. Moreover, the bolder changes have appeared in the periscope segment. It seems the company will use both a fixed and a multiple focal length sensor for its new-gen Pura smartphones.

Aside from the 200MP lens, the leak hints at a large-aperture periscope camera. Interestingly, it points out two sensors under the zoom camera topic: one with a probably fixed focal length, while the other has multiple focal lengths.
Fixed focal length periscope sensor has only one zoom level. It’s either a 5x or 10x optical zoom. On the other hand, a multi-focal length telephoto lens enables a variable range of zoom, supporting from 3.3x to 5.2x and 10x optical zooming.
While a fixed focal length needs a digital zoom to change the framing, the multi-focal length sensors use movable lens elements inside the periscope assembly that offer true optical zoom while maintaining focus.
Based on the leaked details, it seems these specs belong to one of the Pro models of the Pura 90 family. There’s still a lot of time for the launch of the 2026 Pura handsets. By that time, we may see more such changes in these phones.
