Huawei appears to be preparing a dynamic telephoto camera solution for the Pura 90 series that will once again break all the records in the macro photography field. This new solution will bring prominent changes in the zooming capability this time.
According to the latest information, the Huawei Pura 90 series will likely continue to feature a dual telephoto camera setup. The special trait of this solution lies in its zoom part.
The company is testing a new double periscope telephoto camera system, which will support up to 10x optical zoom. It will probably embed this imaging technology in the upcoming high-end Pura 90 smartphones.
Inputs say that the new dual periscope lens setup can be one of the most powerful zoom technologies in the Huawei flagship camera phone family.
It is so because the reportedly tested new telephoto camera solution can directly boost an optical zoom level of 10x. That suggests Huawei Pura 90 can once again break records in the zoom camera technology among all flagship rivals.
Huawei launched the first “switchable” dual periscope telephoto camera tech with the Pura 80 Ultra last year. The company continued this iconic implementation with the Mate 80 RS and Pro Max devices, using two 50MP periscope sensors.

One of these has a 4x optical macro lens while the other supports a 6.2x optical super telephoto sensor. Together, these lenses give 12.4x optical zooming capabilities.
