Huawei is not only looking for greater imaging technologies to seed in the Pura 90 series but also seemingly planning new changes for its design. A new input suggests that the company could bring a major revamp to the 2026 Pura models’ appearance.
SuperDimensional tipster on Weibo shared a list of key specs and design changes for the Huawei Pura 90 series. Apart from the camera and battery details, the leak reveals interesting tweaks in the upcoming Pura handsets’ look.
The tipster revealed that the Pura 90 phones will bring a major redesign. What exactly the design revamp includes is uncertain at present. Though the leak hints at a “horizontally stretched” appearance.
Now that refers to two possibilities. First – the company might increase the overall width of the device, equipping a larger and wider screen. If true, it will improve accessibility for older adults, ensuring comfort at every glance on the handset.
Another possibility is that Huawei may stretch the camera bump. It might follow Xiaomi and Apple’s approach of a wide, brick-like lens module on the back panel.

Several phone makers are adopting the new rectangular camera frame on the back, ditching the regular circular camera bump in the center or a squarish layout at one particular side of the device. And Huawei may follow suit!

Metal has become a significant choice for Huawei while crafting its top-end phones. The company has imposed an all-metal body on its first-ever Mate 80 Pro Max model. It seems to have similar plans for the high-end Pura 90 member as well.
The specific material not only enhances durability but is also a superior component for heat dissipation. As a result, it contributes to better chipset performance and improves the overall structural integrity, offering a premium feel.
