Huawei Pura X Premium Edition may launch in early 2026. It looks like the company will kickstart the next year with the release of a cheaper yet efficient flip-flop smartphone, expanding its consumer base in the mid-range market.
The Chinese OEM launched the first Pura foldable last year in March. The device picked up steam for its artistry design, combined with a 16:10 wide display panel.
While the second-gen Pura X folding phone has started emerging in the leaks, it seems Huawei will unveil the Premium Edition fold first, probably in early 2026.
A Weibo tipster revealed that the Pura X Premium Edition will likely go official in January and not February. The company will take this step to maintain a significant gap between the launch of the special version and the second-gen foldable.
Revealing the launch details of the Huawei Pura X2 foldable, the tipster said the device will launch in March 2026. It hints that the company has seemingly dynamic products in the pipeline for the first quarter of the next year.

Further, the tipster mentioned that Pura X Premium Edition will feature the Kirin 9020A chipset, which is slightly inferior to the original 9020 5G version, but offers a negligible difference in performance.
The Premium Edition will be an affordable version of the protagonist. It will likely be 300 to 1000 yuan cheaper than the main Pura X foldable smartphone to cover a wide range of consumers. For reference, the Pura X price is:

- Huawei Pura X (12GB + 512GB) = 7999 yuan
