Rumors have it that the Huawei Pura X2 could bring bigger upgrades this time, tagged with a lower price than its predecessor. The news is coming from a Weibo tipster, who has described the pricing of every upcoming Huawei phone and tablet.
GuoJing revealed that the Huawei Pura X2 will see a reduction in price. If true, this will be a real upgrade for the foldable phone. The device is said to undergo many changes this year, and we may find the shift in the price segment as well.
Even though the tipster didn’t reveal the exact price reduction for the new Pura foldable, we could expect a 500 to 1000 yuan cheaper rate at the moment. Since the details are uncertain, let’s take the latest input with a grain of salt for now.
For comparison, the Huawei Pura X series has two models: Standard and Collector’s Edition. Both variants have two storage options with the following price tags:
- Pura X (12GB + 256GB) = 7499 yuan
- Pura X (12GB + 512GB) = 7999 yuan
- Pura X Collector’s Edition (16GB + 512GB) = 8999 yuan
- Pura X Collector’s Edition (16GB + 1TB) = 9999 yuan

It will be interesting to see how much the company will drop the price of the Pura X2. One thing that we find accurate is – the Pura X2 foldable will introduce major changes in terms of size, appearance, battery, and more, with probably a lower cost.
Apart from the Pura X2, the tipster has made a similar prediction for the Pura 90 series. It may also see a lower price compared to the previous-gen models. Meanwhile, the Nova 16 could have a similar cost tag as its predecessors.
Looks like Huawei will follow up the same “price strategy” it used for the Mate 80 series last year. Despite significant upgrades, the devices’ rates begin at a pocket-friendly value. Perhaps the OEM will continue this move with 2026 products as well.
