Not only in size, but the Huawei Pura X2 foldable could also grow in battery capacity. A new piece of information suggests that the upcoming clamshell product will feature a larger cell pack over its predecessor, enhancing overall durability.
While the Huawei Pura X2 launch date remains a major mystery, leaks and rumors are bringing details about the new foldable’s design, camera, and now – the battery.
SuperDimensional on Weibo today revealed that the Huawei Pura X2 can feature a 5500mAh battery pack, bigger than the first-generation Pura foldable phone.
The tipster adds that, unlike the Mate 80 series, the Pura X2 won’t install a 6000mAh cell pack. Though it can still be a significant battery upgrade compared to the previous model.
Huawei Pura X has a 4720mAh battery with a rated capacity of 4610mAh. It further supported a charging of 66W wired, 40W wireless, and a 7.5W wireless reverse.

Perhaps the upcoming model may also bring enhanced charging changes alongside a new battery pack. Apart from the cell capacity, the tipster said that the Pura X2 will primarily focus on the thinness and lightness of the body structure.
Early inputs suggested that the Pura X2 will be bigger and wider than its predecessor. The device will also grow some inches in the display panel, offering a more intuitive viewing experience to users. Although clarity on this matter is lacking.

Pura foldable debuted as an ultimate creation in the market. It neither adopted a complete flip-style nor a book-type folding mechanism. Rather, it appeared in a small clamshell device that gives a wide view when opened completely.
Now the company is trying to further enhance its second-gen Pura folding device, making it a tough competitor against Apple’s first iPhone Fold coming later this year.
