Huawei today posted 8.6% profit in 2025 revenue, pointing out its strong comeback in the smartphone market. Despite the ongoing mobile chip and tech-based challenges, the company has witnessed steady growth last year – thanks to Kirin phones.
Today, Huawei published its annual revenue report for 2025, revealing the cards of profit and growth rate. The company earned 68 billion yuan ($9.8 billion) last year, nearly 2 billion more than in 2024.
Speaking of the total revenue, Huawei has achieved 880.9 billion yuan in the 2025 sales market, which is around 2.2 percent up from 862.1 billion yuan in 2024.
While the growth pace is slower compared to the previous year with a hike of 22%, the report highlights that Huawei is slowly yet steadily inching towards big wins!
The latest report has shown Huawei’s second-highest annual revenue to date, following a record of 891 billion yuan sales in 2020. Hereafter, the company was stuck in the US rules and regulations over tech components.
Regardless of a dramatic history, Huawei is constantly making efforts to return to its original spot in the market, as it was before 2020. And that may happen soon!
Coming to business, the smartphone and digital devices unit has jumped 1.6% to 344.5 billion yuan. Meanwhile, the IT infrastructure – one of the largest contributors to 2025 revenue, is seeing a 2.6% growth in sales to 375 billion yuan.
Huawei Cloud Computing has dropped by 3.5% in revenue, whereas the automotive solution unit witnessed a sharp jump of 72.1% to 45 billion yuan – the highest! R&D spending rose to 192.3 billion yuan in 2025, with 22% contribution to revenue.
While there were extreme hurdles, Huawei crossed them efficiently. It now aims bigger for the smartphone market and other businesses. Further, it is exploring new solutions to elevate its 5G chips and AI technology experiences.
Following the public announcement of Kirin 5G, the demand for the Mate 80 series has reached a new level. Whether this strong momentum will continue after the Pura 90 launch is worth looking forward to!
Meng Wanzhou, the Rotating Chairwoman at Huawei, applauded the new achievements in the annual revenue report and shed light on the future ambitions of the firm:
“We are moving towards a future that is full of uncertainty, so we have to remain true to our strategy and maintain strategic focus. We will translate strategy to execution, keep cultivating the developer ecosystem, and pursue high-quality development.”
