Huawei is improving its Celia AI Assistant with more user-friendly tools and features for its smartphones and these changes will be official in May this year. The company has revealed that Celia is getting more useful enhancements for device users.
On March 4, Huawei hosted the HarmonyOS Intelligent Mobility Technology Renewal Launch Conference. During the event, Richard Yu, the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business Unit, announced major news for Celia AI Assistant.
The executive said that a “more approachable Celia” AI Assistant is coming to Huawei smartphones in May this year. The company will add more user-friendly features to it. One of these add-ons is new languages in adaptive dialect.
Adaptive dialect is a simple feature in Celia AI that adjusts or changes a language to meet communicative, social, and environmental needs. As per the details, Huawei is adding more languages to this particular feature.

Huawei phones already support the Adaptive Dialect feature. Here, when users ask a question in a specific language, say Mandarin, Celia will reply in the same language.
Inputs reveal that the upcoming Celia upgrade will introduce more new languages to the adaptive dialect feature. For instance, Shanghainese, Cantonese, Sichuanese, and more.
Other changes of the May 2026 upgrade for Celia AI assistant are under wraps. Hence, we have to wait for the official announcement on this topic.
