Huawei will unveil the Mate 80 Pro Max Wind Edition next week, but it appears this will not be the only phone with a cooling fan system, and the company may unveil more such smartphones in the future. If true, will you go for them?
Tipster GuoJing says Huawei will continue to develop smartphones with cooling fan technology. According to him, the company will launch more new forms of this heat dissipation mechanism in the future, marking a significant evolution in the industry.
Cooling fans are way better than the regular heat dissipation technologies in regular phones. They are capable of providing active cooling through forced convection.
Unlike other heat dissipation methods, such as graphite sheets or vapor chambers, a cooling fan forces airflow across the phone’s surface and can increase the rate of heat transfer dynamically away from the device.
In simple words, the new technology is more capable of reducing surface temperatures (directly by 5-12°C) even under critical situations or during sustained tasks.
Nubia Red Magic 3 was the first gaming smartphone to feature a built-in cooling fan. The tech aimed to alleviate thermal performance during long gaming sessions.
Honor further joined the trend last year by unveiling the WIN gaming phone series, equipped with a mini “ultra-fan” technology that takes the gaming performance to a whole new level.
As of now, Huawei is bringing its first “cooling fan” smartphone to the table. The company has been making waves in the news headlines since last year for launching a special cooling fan edition. And it seems things won’t stop here.
Inputs reveal that the company will continue to launch more cooling fan smartphones in the coming years. There would probably be better shifts and techniques. Although these changes are currently out of the league.
