On March 4, Apple introduced the MacBook Neo PC as a budget-friendly laptop, but it looks like Huawei is planning to counterattack this notebook with its own creation called MateBook NEO. The device is reportedly on the way to hit the market.
DigitalChatStation revealed that the Huawei MateBook NEO PC is on the road to launch against the new Apple creation. Unlike the latest MacBook laptop with 8GB RAM, the upcoming notebook will feature 24GB RAM + 1TB internal storage.
The leak further mentioned that the new MateBook will be available in two shades: Deep Space Gray and Silver. It will likely support the HarmonyOS PC software system.
Apple MacBook Neo uses an iPhone-based chip – A18 Pro. Following the major spec changes, the tipster asked whether Huawei will use the same trick for its PC.
Looking at the past few PC launches, Huawei has equipped the Kirin X90 chipsets for its HarmonyOS notebooks. But if the company is using the same name as Apple, it’s unclear whether it will also use a phone chip like Kirin 9030 for its new PC.
