Omida has recently shared the data on the 2025 smartphone sales market in Greater China, showing the strong performance of Huawei, Apple, and other top tech vendors. While the former has appeared at the top, iPhone maker has slipped to third.
The research firm Omida has published the 2025 smartphone sales data of both global and Greater China, where brands like Huawei, Apple, Vivo, and Samsung have shown positive growth.
Starting with China, Huawei has ranked first in the market with a 17% of the market share. The company’s yearly sales progress increased by 2% last year, and the credit goes to top models like the Pura 80 series and the Nova 14 handsets.
2025 has been a crucial year for Huawei in many aspects. The company has not only introduced astonishing camera technologies but also made the first official move towards its Kirin 5G chips after five years of pause.
With the onset of 2026, Huawei captured the first spot in the Chinese smartphone market and is still leading due to the strong demand for the Mate 80 phones.

Vivo ranked second in this segment with a 16% market share but 7% YoY decrease. Meanwhile, it has obtained the fourth spot in the global sector with 4% annual growth and a market share of 8%.
The iPhone maker showed up in third position in China with 16% market share and a YoY increase of 7%. It is leading the global smartphone list with 19% market share and 7% annual growth in shipments – all thanks to the iPhone 17 models.
Xiaomi has appeared in the fourth spot with 15% market share and 4% of increase in annual growth. It has achieved third rank in the global market with 13% share and 2% year-on-year decrease.
