Huawei has released a new update for this smartwatch lineup with HarmonyOS 6 build version 6.0.0.173, and it carries a big changelog.
Starting with the new additions, the Watch GT 6 series can now see a real-time cadence simulation feature within the outdoor cycling mode. It is designed to help the user scientifically assess pedaling rhythm.
Wheelchair users now have a wheelchair mode in the activity log with a personalized exercise experience. HarmonyOS 6 smartphones with NearLink support pair with the Watch GT 6 series and use the Find My Phone feature. It helps users to locate their devices within a proximity of the watch. Additionally, the feature also enables proximity alerts.
Meanwhile, smartphones with HarmonyOS 5 and above software versions can use real-time messaging with third-party apps. Besides these new additions, the Huawei Watch GT 6 series is also getting some new optimizations.
The new high-altitude care feature now has features such as blood oxygen saturation and heart rate monitoring to predict and proactively alert users to potential high-altitude acclimatization risks, ensuring health and safety at high altitudes.
