Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 has launched in China with some very interesting features and a special chipset – Kirin W80. The advanced processor ensures that the wearable is running efficiently and offering a significant boost in the overall performance.
Kirin W80 chipset was expected to debut with the Watch 5 wearable. But it looks like Huawei has saved this processor for the second-gen luxurious smartwatch.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 debuts with the Kirin W80. The company has not described the new wearable chip in detail or announced it during the launch event.
Although Huawei has listed the chip on the official Watch Ultimate 2 web page, confirming the new processor’s existence. Meanwhile, some early leaked details suggest a few configurations about the smartwatch chip.
Kirin W80 is a quad-core chipset, and the W in the name of the chip refers to “wearables“. It has a frequency ranging from 0.3 to 1.7GHz. On the other hand, the processor has a GPU frequency of 492MHz.

The new chipset is speculated to be inferior to the Kirin 9 series chip and offer performance, which is comparable to the Kirin 8 series processor. But things will clear with the real-time usage of the device as soon as it becomes available to consumers.
As mentioned, Huawei has not revealed any details about the new chip. But we may find the details about it through the leaked revelations in the time ahead.
