Every brand is now looking for surprising upgrades to their smartphones, making them stand out among other devices, and in this approach, the new Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max cooling fan phone has set a new standard of “excellence” in the market.
Mate phones are popular for their performance traits in the Huawei fam. Be it introducing a new Kirin chipset or any tech feature, the Mate devices excel in every aspect.
Huawei launched the Mate 80 series last year in November. The first big change in this lineup was the “model replacement” – Pro+ became PRO MAX! Another spotlight gathering moment was, of course, the public launch of Kirin 9030 series.
One thing, though, that might have disappointed Huawei fans was the absence of the long-rumored FAN EDITION. Some tipsters believed that there wouldn’t be any cooling fan phone in the Huawei family anytime soon, as it lacks excellence.
Huawei surprised everyone on March 23 by unveiling its first-ever Mate 80 Pro Max Fan Edition. Phones like the RedMagic series, OPPO K15 Pro/+, and Honor WIN series already support a built-in active cooling fan to manage heat. However, the new Mate Edition took this technology to new heights.
Mate 80 Pro Max Fan Edition has appeared as a serious rival for the top flagship phones in the market. From performance to durability, as well as software capabilities.
Though the highlight of this phone is its windmill cooling architecture that conceals an imperceptible airflow design with bionic wing-shaped turbofans.

This ultimate technology contains three layers: Turbo Fan – which has an alternating blade structure to increase the wind pressure inside the device and remove the generated heat within seconds without allowing it to affect the internal parts.
Second layer is the thermal bending fins with a partition design to boost heat dissipation efficiency significantly, resulting in faster and more uniform cooling.
The third and most interesting layer lies outside the device – beneath the camera module. The airflow inlets ensure a comfortable grip without burning your hands and quietly dissipate heat outside the smartphone.
Features like the second-gen Kunlun Glass, Basalt architecture, and ultra-durable vegan fibre back increase drop resistance by 20 times and impact resistance by 5 times.
