Looks like after the regular smartphone series, Huawei is planning to add a MAX member to its Pura X foldable family. The device was rumored not to be called Pura X2 and now a new piece of information suggests the possible ‘official name’ of it.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus stated two names: Huawei Pura X Max and the X Max Collector’s Edition. The monikers belong to the upcoming wide foldable lineup.
Following the leak, some netizens said that the direction of MAX phones is going right and Huawei should continue upgrading the Pura foldables in the future.
Huawei unveiled the first Pura foldable in March 2025. Instead of using the same thin-vertical folding mechanism, the company introduced a new form factor – a widescreen fold device that eases the viewing experience to a greater extent.
A similar product was expected for this year with minimal upgrades in every segment. However, some rumors indicated big changes in the coming foldable, including a new name and design shifts.
Earlier, the same tipster said Huawei would not name the second wide foldable – Pura X2. It could be Pura Fold or something else. Now, he has revealed the possible “real moniker” of the device.
