Huawei has published the January 2026 security patch details for EMUI and HarmonyOS devices with tons of fixes and improvements. The firm has not started rolling out the new update to its eligible phones though we can expect the move next week.
After the Mate 80 and Nova 15 launches, Huawei began working on new and incredible products for 2026. Besides, it is keeping an eye on the software rollouts.
January 2026 security update is part of this software rollout activity and is bringing various new fixes for Huawei EMUI and HarmonyOS-powered smartphones/tablets.
Official details reveal the new security patch fixes 9 high and 7 medium-level vulnerabilities. These are mostly related to the camera and gallery module of the device, affecting the internal data or leading to a malicious software glitch.
Meanwhile, the company has resolved third-party library problems. It has addressed 19 high and 2 medium-grade CVEs. Most of these affect the latest HarmonyOS 6.0 devices. Hence, it’s important to install the new patch as it approaches.
