Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design smartphone has launched with iconic specifications and top-grade features, but what if we say that this can be the last member of the Honor Porsche Design family? Yes, this is real news, delivered by the company!
Chen Ligeng, one of the performance development engineers at Honor has shared a post on Weibo. He talked about the new products launched at the Magic Air event.
While mentioning the smartphones’ names, he said – Magic 8 Pro Air and the final pinnacle of the Porsche series, hinting at the end of a premium phone lineup.
“The Magic 8 Pro Air and the final pinnacle of the Porsche series were showcased at a thrilling preview event this afternoon.”
Notably, he didn’t reveal if the company will continue to launch the Porsche Design devices in the future or put a halt forever on this particular phone model. Though the statement itself suggests the closure of a spectacular partnership.

Honor announced a long-term strategic partnership with Porsche Design in December 2023. Perhaps the contract between the two firms is about to end soon, and that is why the new Honor Magic 8 RSR could be the last smartphone of this bond.
The Magic V2 RSR was the first model of this iconic partnership. It came into existence in early January 2024. Further, the company added the Magic 6 RSR to this lineup in March 2024, giving a royal phone option to its consumers.
By the end of 2024, Honor introduced the Magic 7 RSR to this family with tempting features and super ultimate camera features, defeating the Mate 70 Pro+ handset.
Honor hasn’t detailed its plan on this matter yet. Hence, we have to wait for a clearer and official announcement regarding the end of the Honor Porsche Design lineup.
