Honor officially talked about the MagicOS 11 software upgrade today. The company revealed that the new iteration’s preparations are going on in full swing. It has even planned some interesting surprises this time for its smartphone/tablet users.
While MagicOS 10 is still running in the beta phase for some old models, the company has started working on the upcoming software version based on Android 17.
The Product Maintenance and Upgrade officer – Honor Xiao Fangge said today that the MagicOS 11 – the major software update has joined the “development phase”.
Calling out Honor device users, the executive prepared a list of around 10 major changes in the new MagicOS iteration and asked users which of these options they are looking forward to seeing in the upcoming upgrade.
“Dear friends, the major upgrade to MagicOS 11 is in full swing! What aspects of the user experience are you most looking forward to? Make a wish, and the best wishes will win you an Honor 500 Pro, plus a random Honor custom gift box! Come and fill out your wish list!”
Eventually, it suggests that the MagicOS 11 will bring smoother scrolling with reduced lag, reduce power consumption, increase available storage space, add more enhancements to the camera and gallery, and provide more stable network signals.
Besides, the company will enhance the data transfer between different devices, making file sharing much more convenient than before. There could be new anti-fraud and theft features with a smarter and human-like YOYO AI assistant.
Honor hasn’t revealed when it will unveil the new software iteration. But there is a possibility to see this upgrade with the Magic 9 series on the stage, around September or October.
