Samsung has played big move by introducing the Apple iPhone AirDrop feature support for the Galaxy S26 series through a new One UI update. The new ability enables the top flagship smartphones to share all types of files seamlessly with iPhones.
Honor was the first brand to bridge the gap with iPhones last year, using its special AI features. Huawei used HarmonyOS to make file-sharing possible between its devices and Apple products. Google has also joined the pool with the Pixel 10.
But other Android brands were far away from this change. Honor has even teased the South Korean tech giant for still lagging in this major tech evolution.
Surprisingly, Samsung has now finally filled this void with the Galaxy S26 series’ latest update that brings AirDrop feature support for users in global markets.

As per the details, Samsung further enhanced Quick Share by integrating AirDrop sharing to it. Simply put, it now comes with a dedicated option for Apple devices.
One doesn’t have to install any separate app or tool on their smartphone to access AirDrop Sharing. All you have to do is turn on the toggle of the “Share with Apple Devices,” and that’s it! No additional settings or moves for seamless file-sharing.
Note that you have to keep the AirDrop feature on the “Everyone” option for accurate discoverability. If it’s not working, make sure that the Quick Share app and Google Play Services are running on their latest versions.
For the Galaxy S26 series – the AirDrop feature compatibility is coming to the flagship smartphone users with the One UI build version AZCF and a 900MB package.
Samsung is further planning to expand the AirDrop Sharing feature to more devices in the future. Though the rollout timeline and compatible devices are missing from the frame at present.
