No, the change is not the Kirin chipset this time, but a few specs of the Huawei Mate 80 Pro, like the camera, software system, and RAM options. If you are someone who likes more color options, then the global variant might not seem enough to you!
Starting with the camera, Huawei has used the same 50MP main ultra-lighting snapper, a 40MP ultrawide-angle lens, and a 48MP ultra-lighting macro telephoto shooter. It also has the 2nd-gen multispectral sensor as the Chinese sibling.
1. Camera Features
But the game changes when you look into the internal camera parameters. The company has omitted the XMAGE Color Chart, one of the richest filter arrays.

Unlike the Chinese Mate 80 Pro model that runs on the latest HarmonyOS 6.0 software system, the global unit relies on the old iteration – EMUI 15. Huawei fans who have been waiting for a new software build with the Mate 80 Pro global launch might be very disappointed.
Meanwhile, HarmonyOS 6.0 continues to introduce a lot of smarter and thoughtful features. Thanks to Harmony AI and an upgraded Celia AI virtual assistant.
3. RAM
Global Mate 80 Pro has only one RAM + storage option: 16GB + 512GB. A user looking for 12GB RAM or 256GB/1TB storage will have to go for the given option only. The same goes for the color for those who love a White shade more than any other!
Of course, these changes aren’t that big and significant. Though they are capable enough of adding more spotlight to the smartphone.
