Huawei and Honor phones are smashing in the consumer market as they are even giving competition to the iPhone 17 models in the sales race for 2026. Well, the latest report by a credible tipster shows proof of this new “smartphone war” matter.
SmartChipInsider has shared a new list, showing the top five phones that have shipped more than 1 million units in the Chinese market in the first six weeks of 2026.
The entire list has phones from only three brands: Apple, Huawei, and Honor. While Apple is holding the first three spots, the other two places belong to the Chinese tech makers.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max is leading the market by exceeding one million units in single-model sales for the first six weeks of 2026. The second rank goes to the standard iPhone 17 in this listing.
iPhone 17 Pro appeared in third place. All three iPhone models gained a lot of traction in the Chinese phone market for their special features and new design.
But two phones that made their way into the top five ranking in the first six weeks of 2026 against the iPhone 17 series are the standard Huawei Mate 80 and Honor X70.

Huawei Mate 80 has garnered attention for being extremely affordable, despite premium-grade features like three punch holes, Kirin 9020 5G with 42% performance boost over the previous-gen model, and many other tech capabilities.
On the other hand, Honor X70 made its way as the most pocket-friendly handset with an 8300mAh battery, bigger than the Magic 8 Pro. That shows consumers are more attracted to cost-effective products rather than high-tech additions.
X70 made its way in the first half of 2025 and is still reportedly doing great in the market compared to other Honor phones. But that’s just the beginning of 2026. Thus, let’s wait to check the real performance of these phones in Q1 of this year.
