Xiaomi 17 Pro models will receive some more interesting and useful Magic Screen features this month. The company has confirmed a teleprompter capability for its flagship smartphone. It will reach these devices via a new HyperOS 3.0 software update.
Lu Weibing, the Partner and President of Xiaomi Group, revealed that the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max phones will get a video teleprompter feature for the Magic Screen.
The company is currently testing the respective feature’s compatibility with the rear small display of the Xiaomi 17 Pro handsets. After the fruitful results, the tech giant will start pushing it to the top-end models by mid-to late January.
Video teleprompter refers to a specific app or feature that shows the script in a scrolling text box. It enables you to record professional videos while maintaining eye contact with the audience without letting them know that you are reading the words.
Since Xiaomi 17 Pro has an extra screen on the back, it can cover you at times when you have to record a professional video. And the OEM is now making perfect use of this particular screen part!

While recording videos using the rear display part, it will display prompts synchronously and scroll through the screen. Users can customize the text, scrolling, and speed accordingly, lowering the barrier to entry for on-camera expression.
Apart from this new addition, the company may improve the Magic screen features or add some more interesting tweaks to the Xiaomi 17 Pro models with the upcoming update.
