Xiaomi 17 Ultra debuted with eye-catching camera specs. Despite a subtle imaging setup, the new device is garnering attention for its special Leica-based cam technologies. And we’re up to look at these camera parameters and features in full detail.
It’s time to get into the camera specs of the newly launched Xiaomi 17 Ultra and understand how the new flagship is a tough challenge for the 2025 powerful imaging smartphones.
The company has announced a special collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica for avant-garde camera features. And these add-ons are imposed on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
A major addition is the Leica Optical Summilux Main Camera. Xiaomi has used advanced optical components and full lens group coating tech that enables each beam of light to shift from the lens glass to the lens group.
Hence, the filter-generated reflection and noise interference eliminate ghosts and glare, achieving ultra-pure image quality. Meanwhile, LOFIC tech depicts that the amount of light entering the sensor makes images clearer and sharper.

It features a 50MP Leica Optical Summilux High Speed main lens, which follows a 1-inch and 1G+6P aspherical high lens set format. It’s a light and shadow master sensor with 1050L, equivalent to 23mm focal length, and supports OIS.
Besides, the device has a 50MP Leica ultrawide-angle shooter with a 115° viewing angle and 5cm super macro + AF features. The device brings a new Leica 200MP continuous optical zoom with a 1/1.4-inch bottom sensor and 3.2-4.3x zooming capability. The front side has a 50MP selfie snapper.
Leica APO optical certification further clarifies that the device will offer richer colors and more vibrant shots irrespective of the surroundings or dim lighting.
