Xiaomi 17T series inches closer to global launch with new certificate

Xiaomi 17T series is inching closer to its global launch and the latest certificate unlocks one more door for the flagship’s release. The lineup has now qualified for the IMDA Singapore certification, suggesting that its official unveiling is imminent.

IMDA refers to Infocomm Media Development Authority, primarily run by Singapore’s government. It aims to verify telecommunication devices, radio products, and IoT devices sold in the country.

The certificate ensures that the device complies with technical standards, cybersecurity requirements, and safety regulations.  It remains valid for five years.

According to the IMDA certificate, the Xiaomi 17T series has been certified with two model numbers (for standard and Pro phones): 2602DPT53G and 2602EPTC0G.

Looking into the certificates, it doesn’t reveal any major changes about the upcoming flagship phones. Though the new move hints that the top-tier models are ready to go official in the global markets.

Xiaomi 17T series will unlock subtle yet significant upgrades over the previous-generation models. The standard variant will use a Dimensity 8500 processor, while the Pro version will bring a Dimensity 9500 chipset.

It’s still unclear when the company will unveil the new flagship lineup in the market. But based on the ongoing pre-launch listings, it seems the Xiaomi 17T series will debut much sooner than its predecessors. Let’s wait for more revelations on this topic.
