Xiaomi Technologies CEO – Lei Jun, recently said that the company’s AI tech solutions can lessen the weekly workload of humans to a greater extent. And there will be a time when a person will work only for three days rather than an entire week.
Lei said this during an interview with China News Weekly. He shed light on how the era of artificial intelligence will rewrite many rules in the job roles and professions segment.
When the host asked how AI has been considered a job-eater technology, Xiaomi CEO said that AI tech solutions will eventually help users in many aspects, particularly in reducing workload. Everyone should embrace a more advanced era with an open mind, not with fear!
He further stated:
“In the future, perhaps we will only need to work 3 days a week, 2 hours a day instead of 5 days per week and 8 hours a day. Our quality of life and work quality will improve significantly.”
Speaking of Xiaomi’s plans in the AI field, the chief said that the company is working on major artificial intelligence technologies that can not only boost its revenue but also add more value to the smartphones or tablets’ user experience.
