After the Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0 stable rollout to flagship models, Xiaomi is gearing up for the preparation of the Android 15-based software version’s launch. It seems we don’t have to wait for much to grab the new iteration in eligible devices.
Xiaomi has a unique software strategy for its devices. In order to bring the experience of its self-developed OS, the company uses the dual-iteration method.
Under this scheme, Xiaomi rolls out HyperOS with two Android versions: the latest and the previous one. As a result, even old models that are not compatible with the newest Android OS can also explore the flavor of the fresh HyperOS build.
Well, 2025 is no exception to this theory. Xiaomi has released the HyperOS 3.0 (Android 16) for selected top-end models, and now it is focusing on the Android 15-based build’s launch for eligible smartphones.
XiaomiTime noted that HyperOS 3 (Android 15) is nearing its release time for popular handsets. Some of the mid-range devices that are on the verge of completing their testing phase are as follows:
- Xiaomi 12T Pro: Global OS3.0.0.2, Other regions OS3.0.0.1
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra: OS3.0.0.2
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Max: OS3.0.0.2
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro: OS3.0.0.2
- Xiaomi MIX Fold 2: OS3.0.0.1
- Xiaomi 13 Lite: EEA OS3.0.0.2, Other regions OS3.0.0.1
- Xiaomi Civi 3: OS3.0.0.1
- Xiaomi 12 Pro: OS3.0.0.2
- Xiaomi 12 Pro: OS3.0.0.1
- Xiaomi 12S Pro: Internal Alpha
- Xiaomi 12S: Internal Alpha
- REDMI K60 Pro: OS3.0.0.3
- REDMI Note 13 5G: All regions under stable internal test, Global OS3.0.0.5

Redmi Note 13 5G will probably be the first model to receive the build as its beta version is OS 3.0.0.5. Meanwhile, the listed handsets will soon get the news of nearing the stable rollout. Perhaps the company may release the Android 15-based version in January 2026.
