eSIM technology is becoming a new buzz in the smartphone market and it seems Xiaomi doesn’t want to stay behind in this trend and is prepping a new creation for 2026. The company will likely launch an eSIM flagship handset next year.
Xiaomi has recently surprised everyone with amazing camera parameters packed in the new-gen Ultra model. And the OEM is up with some new phones for the future.
Following the Ultra model, the company is currently working on a “Plus” device. And at the same time, we may witness a Xiaomi eSIM smartphone in 2026.
SmartPikachu noticed that Xiaomi is working on a flagship phone series with a special eSIM variant. The tipster added that this new handset will be “mass-produced” next year. Hence, the phone market may get a new rival for top-end models.

While the tipster didn’t reveal the name of this model, netizens speculated that it might belong to the MIX foldable series. Apart from eSIM, the new device could also bring 3D face recognition, a variable aperture camera, and the XRING 02 chip.
Huawei is the recent brand to unveil an eSIM device. The company has brought this support to the Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design with dual eSIM technology.
Regarding 3D Face Recognition, Huawei, Honor, and Apple are the only brands to deliver a dynamic user experience. But it looks like Xiaomi will also join this race in the coming time with its mysterious model.
