Xiaomi Watch 5 is now official with some challenging traits for Huawei and other top-end smartwatches, and one of these is the battery life. The device can last for more than 2 weeks, even if you are running its avant-garde features all day long.
When it comes to a wearable’s battery life, we can count on Huawei as the company’s recent creation, the Watch GT 6 series, offers around 21 days of battery life.
Meanwhile, it can run for 12 days during normal usage and 7 days when features like AOD are enabled. While Apple and Samsung are still trying to get out of the hourly battery backup for their wearables, Xiaomi seems to have found a way.
The company has seeded some interesting tools into the Xiaomi Watch 5 that keep it one step ahead of several top-notch wearables, and one such is its battery life.
Watch 5 packs a 930mAh battery, which is crafted by 10% silicon content. Using it daily in the online network scenario with all features can enable it run for 6 days.
Although if you turn on the power saving mode of the Xiaomi Watch 5, it will be alive for 18 days. Comparatively, that’s just 3 days less than the Huawei Watch GT 6!
That makes Xiaomi Watch 5 a true challenger against Huawei watches and its future creations in terms of battery life. The company has made significant changes this time in its wearables battery and made them far more reliable than rivals.
Besides the battery, Xiaomi’s Watch 5 is the first wearable to support the EMG technology, taking the smartwatch’s health segment to a whole new level.
It would be worth exploring what more innovations future smartwatches will bring on board to garner attention and increase their consumer base in the market.
