Huawei Fan Edition smartphone may soon get a low-price rival

Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max Fan Edition smartphone will soon be official in the market, but ahead of its release, the device is making buzz for getting a low-cost rival in the future. This new competitor might belong to the Xiaomi handset family.

Not only Huawei, but many phone makers are reportedly developing a fan-based handset for 2026. The trend began with the Honor WIN series and will reach more brands in the coming days.

As noted by DigitalChatStation, Huawei has finally installed a cooling fan technology in its flagship, elevating the chip performance to a new level, like never before.

While Huawei is still preparing its Fan Edition smartphone to launch in the market, the tipster noted that it will soon get a budget-friendly rival. The leak says that Xiaomi is working on a new Redmi device that will debut with a built-in fan.

Even though the tipster didn’t name the Xiaomi device that will directly compete with Huawei’s creation, it is expected to be the Redmi K90 Ultra.

On the flip side, mobile phone brands like OPPO, Honor, and iQOO are also up with an active cooling fan technology. Notably, Honor and iQOO already have devices that come on the ground with a fan mechanism to boost performance.

Perhaps more phone makers will join this trend in the coming days!

The tipster further stated that fans in phones are becoming a new trend in the smartphone industry. A major factor behind this craze is that the new tech is capable of defeating bottlenecks related to chip performance and heat dissipation.

Adding more, the tipster hinted that the upcoming products will launch with a fusion of standard version chips + fans for delivering a Pro-class performance to users.

Following the leak, some netizens asked about the Pura 90 series for if the flagship lineup will debut with a double periscope setup. In response, the tipster mentioned that Huawei will continue to follow suit but with better enhancements.

That says Huawei has truly incredible smartphone products this year. All we have to do is wait for the company to unveil them one by one in the market.
