HDC 2026 event is still underway, and on its second day, Huawei confirmed several major software tools for HarmonyOS PCs coming in Q4 2026. These are IDE (Integrated Development Environment) programming tools, such as DevEco and IntelliJ.
Last week, details suggested that Huawei is bringing JetBrains software tools to its HarmonyOS PCs at HDC26. Now the company has officially confirmed this news and scheduled new IDEs programming additions for the fourth quarter of this year.
JetBrains is a global software and developer tools company that owns IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm with a million-user base. It provides premium software applications to laptop and PC programmers to write, test, and debug code.
IntelliJ is one of the most popular IDEs from JetBrains. It supports multiple programming languages and core features like code completion, code refactoring, debugging, and testing tools. It also has built-in control system support and plugin extensibility.

While JetBrains IDEs were only open to notebooks running on Windows, macOS, and Linux, Huawei is now bringing these software tools to its HarmonyOS PCs in Q4 2026. The MateBook devices will get the following IDEs via App Stores:
- DevEco Studio IDE latest version – currently in invitation-only testing. Public beta to begin in Q4.
- CodeArts IDE – currently in trial phase, expected to launch in Q4
- IntelliJ IDEA – HarmonyOS adaptation in progress, expected to be available in Q4.
- Navicat Premium – More compatibility is underway, and a simplified version is now available.
Navicat launched its Premium Lite IDE version available on the Huawei App Store in May this year. It is a streamlined version with essential database operations and is free of cost for small businesses and independent developers.
Huawei will feature all these software tools in its PCs by the fourth quarter of 2026. Stay tuned.
