Huawei Pura 90 Pro models could bring camera surprises beyond one’s imagination this time. The company has been preparing interesting and cutting-edge imaging upgrades for the upcoming flagships, and one of these will likely be the zoom sensor.
Camera is one of the key highlights of the Huawei Pura models. After a cool design, the Pura handsets are known for their incredible imaging capabilities – like no other!
And FixedFocus is now bringing information on the Huawei Pura 90 Pro series’ camera aspect. According to the leak, the upcoming top-tier PRO phones will deliver breakthroughs in the periscope telephoto segment compared to the 2025 Pura models.
The tipster said that the periscope telephoto camera will be one of the big selling points for the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max handsets. It won’t be a simple upgrade of camera sensors but a huge stride in the zoom snap quality over the Pura 80.
In the past few weeks, Huawei has been in the news to bring only three Pura 90 phones this year – the standard model, Pura 90 Pro, and the all-new PRO MAX.

Unlike the last two generations with an extraordinary Ultra smartphone, the Pura 90 series will introduce only three variants. Apart from models, there won’t be any compromise with the internal specs or camera capabilities of these devices, though.
Regarding the periscope zoom, the Huawei Pura 90 Pro handsets can use a 200MP super-sensitive sensor for the first time, with enhancements in the zooming traits.
Pura 80 Ultra was the first to feature a switchable dual-periscope camera setup in the market. But this year, Huawei seems to have bigger plans for the Pura 90 series zooming sensor. It would be worth seeing what major upgrades the flagship lineup is bringing on board. Stay tuned.
