Looks like Huawei FreeClip 2 will soon get a new Collector’s Edition. As per a new leak, the company is working on a prominent variant for its open-back earphones. However, the launch timeline for these upgraded versions is uncertain at present.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus reported that Huawei is now preparing a special Collector’s Edition for the FreeClip 2 open-back earbuds. The tech giant may unveil the new variant in the coming months or alongside the Nova 16 series in June.
Collector’s Edition is a premium, limited-release version of a flagship device (such as a foldable smartphone, tablet, or smartwatch). It offers interesting colorways, customized engravings, and high-end materials in its design with top-notch specs.
Besides, these editions include bonus items like a unique cover, a matching M-Pencil, VIP Watch Face membership, and more. Huawei usually makes them for tech enthusiasts or consumers who want to enjoy a more luxurious vibe.
Up to this point, the company used to launch a Collector’s Edition for its top-tier FreeBuds Pro models. But this time, Huawei may introduce this variant for its open-back audio wearable with a range of exciting features and gifts.
Neither the tipster nor the Chinese tech giant has revealed the launch time of the new earbuds. Though we may soon hear an official announcement on this subject.
FreeClip 2
The FreeClip 2 supports multi-point gesture touch control, such as tapping the listening ball, C-bridge handle, or comfort bead, to operate certain tasks accordingly.
On the other hand, these open-back earbuds have a double-tap gesture to play/pause the music or answer/hang up the call. Users can tap three times to jump to the next song or slide to adjust the volume.
In terms of audio functionalities, the audio wearable has an advanced Call Noise Reduction, Adaptive Volume Control, and Multiple EQ sound effects. It equips the 3rd-gen Kirin A3 chip with NPU AI that boasts computing power 10x over the predecessor.
