Honor Magic 9 series phones will continue the legacy of the largest battery pack in the industry and a new leak says that all models of this flagship lineup may adopt an 8000mAh cell capacity this year – up from 7000mAh used for the Magic 8 handsets.
SmartPikachu on Weibo has reported that all the Honor Magic 9 phones are testing an 8000mAh battery. Perhaps this year, the company will increase the cell capacity for its flagship models by 1000mAh.
Earlier, the same tipster suggested that the Chinese tech giant is evaluating two types of batteries for the Magic 9 models – 8000mAh and 9000mAh. It seems the company has finally picked an appropriate option for its upcoming smartphones.
For comparison, the Magic 8 series debuted with a 7200mAh cell capacity. In the current landscape, Honor is trying to further expand this figure, offering a more stable and reliable battery life to the Magic 9 smartphone users.
Besides the battery pack, the tipster mentioned that the entire Magic 9 lineup will likely contain three main models this year – a small, a medium-sized, and a large flagship.

All these models may feature a flat display panel with 1.5K resolution. The phone maker is further seeking new camera solutions powered by ARRI – a German brand that will enhance the mobile imaging and video shooting to a greater extent.
Honor Magic 9 series could adopt a 200MP main camera for all models with an upgraded sensor this time and high-end anti-shake capabilities. MagicOS 10 will further bring interesting AI functionalities on board, delivering a whole new experience.
