Xiaomi 17T Pro is official in the global markets, and before it could make its way to the home ground, the company has pushed Apple AirDrop support for it through Quick Share. Yes, it’s the first device in the Xiaomi world to get the ultimate capability.
During the I/O Google event, Google confirmed the expansion of the Apple AirDrop feature to many more Android devices, including those from Chinese brands.
While many compatible Android phones are receiving the latest Android Quick Share feature paired with AirDrop, the Xiaomi 17T Pro flagship has also joined the list.
The company has recently shared a new post on X at the XiaomiHyperOS page, confirming AirDrop features for its newly launched handset. Notably, it is currently the only handset in the HyperOS family to support the new beneficial feature.
No worries, as this is just the start, and the Chinese phone maker will push the interesting tool to more eligible devices via the HyperOS 3.0 software update.
iPhone users when set visibility on their device to “everyone for 10 minutes”, they allow Quick Share to identify and complete the pairing with the corresponding iOS devices – no matter if the other user is in your contacts.
Phones like OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra have already received the new feature. Let’s see what other devices will join the list by the end of this month. Stay tuned.
