On November 15, 2001, Bill Gates (and The Rock) unveiled a new gaming console called the “Xbox”. Later this year, the Xbox line will celebrate its 25th anniversary and Microsoft is ready with a special edition of the Series X.
The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition ditches the black and white colors of the base Series X and dresses up in translucent green – for those who weren’t around back then, translucent green was the coolest in the early 2000s.
Also, the iconic X logo on the console will light up in green when you power it up. That’s not all, the announcement says that you will also “discover a few hidden surprises throughout.”

Underneath its cool new green attire, the console is a Series X with 1TB storage – this isn’t new hardware.
Microsoft is also launching the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition in matching translucent green. The ABXY buttons return to their traditional colors.
Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition
The Xbox Series X25 console and Controller X25 will be sold as a limited edition bundle this November. If you already have an Xbox, the Controller X25 Special Edition will also be available separately. Pricing and pre-order details will be revealed later on.
